Got Questions?
What exactly does Navigator do?
Navigator looks at your answers to a few questions and builds a roadmap of Music Savvy lessons, videos, exercises, and interviews tailored to your learning style and goals.
Do I need to be a member of Music Savvy?
Yes. Navigator is subscription-based, but you can try it out for free. Just start a Music Savvy account at https://musicsavvy.com/my-account only requires a free Music Savvy account. Your roadmap elements will be locked, but you can see them all and read aboout them.
I've tried other jazz methods without much success. How is Navigator different?
Most jazz methods focus on the scales, licks, or chord patterns, and assume everyone learns the same way. Music Savvy and Navigator flip that model.
It starts with you — how you learn best, what frustrates you, where you get stuck, and what inspires you. From your answers, it provides a personaloized cocktail of lessons, short videos, interviews, and exercises drawn from nearly 350 MusicSavvy resources.
Instead of generic instruction, you get a custom roadmap that meets you exactly where you are and shows you what to work on next. No wasted time. No random guessing. And all of it focused on improving your ear.
How many different roadmaps can I create?
As many as you wish. As a subscriber, you can save up to three at any any given time, replacing any as you create new ones you prefer. As non-subscriber, you can also generate as many as you wish.
Is there support available if I have questions while going through the course?
Absolutely! You can always reach out with questions and receive direct support from Michael Lake. Your questions help improve Navigator, so I welcome your questions and suggestions.
