Warm Up Your Ear

Here’s a simple (but not necessarily easy) exercise for warming up your mind/instrument connection. This exercise can be used to warm up for a rehearsal or performance, but it can and should be done every time you practice your instrument, at least for a little while.

Warming up is not just for the muscles used to play your instrument. It should also be seen as a way to get your ear ready to hear everything it can to the fullest.
