St. Thomas Block Party

This is a fun little groove. Think cruise ship or vacation in Bahamas (unless you have bad memories of your cruise ship gig!)

The chords are the simple one chord to the four chord progression. Listen to how the each seem to pull toward each other. And because they are simple major triads, there aren’t a lot of good common tones. Sure you can play every note in the C major scale over everything, but notice how different each note’s character is from one chord to the next.

The challenge for you, therefore, is to get from one chord to the next with a good landing note on the next chord. Trickier than it sounds.
