Dawn of a New Day

This is another of those chord progressions that probably looks harder than it is.

Just think of this as a G major scale over different bass tones. The #11 on the C major is F# which fits very nicely within G major. Now that doesn’t mean you should just run the G major scale up and down throughout all of this. Remember, the goal here is to make music. 

So keep your focus on the sound of the harmony, not on the mechanics of the G major scale.
