Bill is a wealth of experience from his decades of being a top studio musician in LA and before that, with the bands of Toshiko and Buddy Rich. He introduced the bass trombone as an instrument perfectly capable of improvising jazz.
As you’ll see, there’s really no brass tube of any length, diameter, or mechanism through which Bill can’t play beautiful music. Slide or valve, Bill has capitalized on his versatility to be an indispensable part of the albums, live bands, and film scores we love.
