And that week in Dayton eventually turned into six years of Dennis singing with Basie. These days, we in the Phoenix area are blessed to have Dennis Rowland singing for us. One of the classiest and most engaging frontman you’ll ever see, Dennis is a wealth of song knowledge and musical experience.
Having suffered a stroke several years ago, Dennis re-learned to speak, walk, and learn over again the lyrics to a lifetime of songs. But his great humor and beautiful musical sensitivity remains and is on full display in this entertaining conversation from the university at which he teaches.
