I didn’t know which category to put David in so I put him in piano. Certainly, he plays piano but his main instrument has been French Horn. Without a French Horn category, where do you put a composer, Penny Whistle player, Native American musician, poet, and philosopher?
It’s difficult to comprehend all the things David has accomplished in just one lifetime. How many can claim Monk and Miles as friends, Jack Kerouac as a colleague, having conducted the New York Philharmonic, and being invited in as part of a Native American spiritual/musical ceremony?
